A Name by any other Rose…
What is 2HousePlague?
2HousePlague is a nickname with delusions of brandeur.
< -----o----- @—–o—–>
I came to it by way of Shakespeare —
from "Romeo and Juliet", to be precise:
"A plague o’ both your houses!"
A young man slain in senseless strife,
lay dying, and with dying breath proclaims:
"A plague o’ both your houses!"
A curse, a condemnation, a presage,
"A plague o’ both your houses!"
…consigns to lofty metaphor our thoughts of "house" and "plague".
< -----o-----@—–o—–>
One House, against another house opposed, makes 2.
Each man, for having opposition in himself,
abides two homes, and thus,
and only thus, may change. Our fates
compel our plagues. It seems
the aim of Plague is fate.
That there be fateful change,
I am the 2HousePlague.
